FAQ

We want everyone to have a great experience at The Duke of Rothesay Highland Games Pavilion. To help plan your visit here are some questions that we frequently get asked by visitors.
Do you have parking?
Parking is free for both cars and buses for an unlimited time. The car park is adjacent to the Pavilion.
We also have dedicated bicycle parking.
Can I take photographs?
Whilst we ask that you do not use flash photography within the exhibition, we are happy for you to take photographs throughout the building. Don’t forget to share them on social media!
I have a disability – will I be able to visit?
Everyone is welcome! We have three dedicated blue badge parking spaces in the car park. Access is all on one level, both within and outside the Pavilion. There is one wheelchair accessible toilet. Please let Centre staff know if we can assist you in any way to make your visit to the Pavilion more enjoyable.
Please see our Accessibility guide for more information.
Does the Pavilion café cater for those with special dietary needs?
A full list of allergens will be available, please ask counter staff for details. Those on gluten free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan diets will find options available to them on the menu. However please feel free to email info@brhcharity.org with any special requests or questions.
How long should I allow for a visit?
We advise that at least 30 minutes should be allowed for your visit to the exhibition, however you are welcome to spend as much time as you wish (within opening hours!). The Pavilion café and shop may tempt you to stay longer!
Can I hold my wedding, party or corporate event at the Pavilion?
Yes! If you’re interested in using the Pavilion as a venue contact the Centre Manager early in the planning process to discuss details and help your event run more smoothly. Please email info@brhcharity.org or telephone +4413397 49220.
How do I find you?
On entering Braemar from the A93, proceed through the village over the bridge until you reach the small roundabout just in front of the café, 'taste'. On your left hand side you will see Broombank Terrace which leads to the games park, proceed up Broombank Terrace and through the gates where you will see the Centre on your left hand side.
The Pavillion is only a few minutes walk from the village centre.
